Flexibility in customized solutions

In case you need a tailor-made solution for your company, we have developed methodology that will guide you through the process with short steps that will assure your implementation is successful

Implementation approach

A well-performed custom implementation project makes the transformation seamless, increases business efficiency and helps hit all strategic targets. All projects would have same phases nevertheless. As every tailor made solution it is highly dependent on the scope of the project - one simple process or the whole solution.

Mobilization

Project definition, project plan, project organization, targets and scope.

1 week
standard timeframe

Analysis

Analysis includes data collection and evaluation, workshops with the users, process analysis, business target definitions (saving, efficiency improvement, sales, control…). Focus of the process analysis is the influence of changes on the users, the benefits they can get, and the customer journey.

4 weeks
standard timeframe

Detailed design

Making a detailed design of the target solution, in the sense of process definition and in the sense of application system. Detailed design includes making standard Smartwave documents which later enable precise automation of defined processes. This phase also includes evaluating the influence of changes on existing processes and making a strategy for the implementation of changes.

Implementation

Making prototypes, solution implementation in waves, employee training and tracking results.

Glossary

Business process management (BPM) is a discipline that uses various methods to discover, model, analyze, measure, improve, and optimize business processes. A business process coordinates the behavior of people, systems, information, and things to produce business outcomes in support of a business strategy. Processes can be structured and repeatable or unstructured and variable. Though not required, technologies are often used with BPM. BPM is key to align IT/OT investments to a business strategy.
Business process management suites (BPMSs) are the leading application infrastructures to support BPM projects and programs. A BPMS supports the entire process improvement life cycle — from process discovery, definition and design to implementation, monitoring and analysis, and through ongoing optimization. Its model-driven approach enables business and IT professionals to work together more collaboratively throughout the life cycle than is possible with other approaches to solution delivery.
Intelligent BPM Suite (iBPMS), Gartner defines as a BPM suite with next-generation features which enable intelligent business operations, such as intelligent analytics (processes that learn to perform better over time based on real-time data), and advanced mobile, social, ad hoc processes and cloud capabilities.
A business rule engine (BRE) is a specific collection of design-time and runtime software that enables an enterprise to explicitly define, analyze, execute, audit and maintain a wide variety of business logic, collectively referred to as “rules.” A BRE can be purchased independently or comes embedded in a business process management suite (BPMS). A BRE enables IT and/or business staff to define rules using decision trees, decision tables, pseudonatural language, programming-like code or other representation techniques.
Adaptive Case Management (ACM) is information technology that exposes structured and unstructured business information (business data and content) and allows structured (business) and unstructured (social) organizations to execute work (routine and emergent processes) in a secure but transparent manner.
Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) is a formal industry standard for process modeling and one of the most important components of successful Business-IT-Alignment. BPMN 2.0 enables business process management systems to design and execute well-defined processes.
Content Management Interoperability Services (CMIS) which is OASIS standard enables integration between Smartwave content repositories and other enterprise content management (ECM) repositories in an enterprise. CMIS enables information to be shared across Internet protocols among and between document systems, publishers, and repositories, within the enterprise, and between companies—all in a vendor-neutral format. The CMIS standard supports basic document management operations such as create, read, update, delete, check in, and check out. It also supports managing versions of documents and their metadata
Business activity monitoring (BAM) describes the processes and technologies that enhance situation awareness and enable analysis of critical business performance indicators based on real-time data. BAM is used to improve the speed and effectiveness of business operations by keeping track of what is happening and making issues visible quickly. The BAM concept can be implemented through many different kinds of software tools; those aimed solely at BAM are called BAM platform products.
Master data management (MDM) is a technology-enabled discipline in which business and IT work together to ensure the uniformity, accuracy, stewardship, semantic consistency and accountability of the enterprise’s official shared master data assets. Master data is a consistent and uniform set of identifiers and extended attributes that describes the core entities of the enterprise including customers, prospects, citizens, suppliers, sites, hierarchies and charts of accounts.
